V0.6.8 Part 1a is now available to the 45 tiers and up.
And it will be available on Steam and Itch on November 13th.
I spent the week correcting a few bugs and writing scene 39.
One of the bugs was actually pretty concerning, as it completely broke the lighthouse. It was an unexpected consequence of the change I made to the scope of the variables directing the lighthouse mode. I should have expected it. I corrected it, and the guided mode works, but while working on it I couldn’t help but feel like I will have to rework that system at some point. For now, it works, but it’s a pretty crude implementation with a very brute-force approach. As a consequence, maintaining it takes a lot of time. And I could probably improve it a bit, especially when it comes to the lifeline display. It’s not for tomorrow, however. I want to finish Day 6 before I embark on that kind of task.
Scene 39’s script is progressing. I have a solid second draft, and most of the scene is already good to go, but the conclusion is still missing. I think I need another thousand, maybe two thousand words to complete it. As of now, the scene is 6600 words long. I expect the final version to be about 7500, maybe 8000 words.
The plan for next week is to finish writing the scene and cut it for posing. I’ll probably need something like 260 to 270 shots to illustrate the scene. That’s a very rough estimation, though, and I could be completely wrong. Anything can happen until the script is complete.
I’ll probably also have some more bug and typo corrections to do in order to produce a final patch for Steam and Itch on Friday.
The quick sum up.
- V0.6.8 part 2 will contain 1 scene: Day 6 Scene 39.
- 6600 words of new content so far.
- I’m currently writing scene 39.
